Source: the DVSA anonymised MOT testing dataset under the Open Government Licence, mot class 7 — goods vehicles between 3,000 and 3,500 kg gross weight, which is the large panel van and most pickups, normal tests only, retests and abandoned tests excluded. Models need at least 500 tests to have a page. Trim and displacement variants are grouped into their model family from observed volume.

Adjusted rates are directly standardised onto the van fleet’s own age and mileage profile, with mileage bands set for vans (0-50k, 50-100k, 100-150k, 150-200k, 200k+) rather than borrowed from cars. A model is ranked only when its observed cells cover at least 60% of that profile. Vans are never compared with cars: the two tests, fleets and lives are too different for the number to mean anything.
