Why there is no login
A list of registrations tied to a name or an email address is personal data, and holding it would mean asking you to trust us with something we do not need. Everything here is stored by your own browser and never sent to us, which is why it works without an account.
The trade-off is that your garage does not follow you between devices, and clearing your browser data will remove it. Use the export option to keep a copy or move it to another device. If you would rather have a reminder that does not depend on this browser at all, the calendar download on any vehicle puts the date straight into your own calendar, and DVSA also run a free reminder service by email or text.

- Do I need an account to save my vehicles?
- No, and there is deliberately no login. Your garage is stored by your own browser and never sent to us, so there is nothing to sign up for and no password to remember. Adding a vehicle takes one click from any result page.
- Where is my garage actually stored?
- In your browser's local storage on the device you are using. It never reaches our servers, which is why we can offer it without asking for an email address. The trade-off is that it will not appear on your other devices unless you export and import it.
- Will I lose my garage if I clear my browser data?
- Yes. Clearing site data or cookies for this site will remove it, as will using private browsing. Export a file from the garage page to keep a backup, and import it again afterwards or on another device.
- How many vehicles can I add?
- Up to fifty, which is far more than most households or small businesses need. They are sorted automatically so whichever MOT expires soonest appears at the top, with a countdown against each one.
- Can I get an email reminder before my MOT expires?
- Not from us, because that would mean holding your email address alongside your registrations. Instead, each vehicle offers a calendar download that puts the expiry date into your own calendar with a prompt a month beforehand. DVSA also run a free reminder service by email or text.
